By now, we all have heard of the horrific tragedies that have struck the Afghan community in Northern Virginia. The lives of two young individuals were abruptly cut short by unimaginable incidents. The Afghan community is still coping with the loss of Homaira Rahman and Farid Abbasi, whose lives meant so much to their loved ones and to our community. After receiving numerous requests from their friends and family members, ZÉBA has chosen a few articles to be published in order to honor the lives of these two individuals. We also had a chance for an exclusive interview with the first Afghan supermodel, Zohre Esmaeli. She has been able to break many barriers in the modeling industry and has brought focus to Afghanistan. With her stunning beauty, she has made her dreams into a reality and has made many Afghans proud all across the globe. ZÉBA Magazine is honored to have spoken with her and wishes her much more success in the future.
